its funny how you added the X.  Most baby female ferrets have that after being spayed. I remember the X on my little one ;(

Making this into a toy is such a great idea! The video makes me smile, so if I had my own little tube-ferret, I bet I would keep smiling every time I saw it!

@okkle - thanks! never seen said toy before, went and had a look, i can see what you mean but i guess i could also say the same about the "screamy" toy in the shop here as well, heh.

Not really an art toy but a cute collectible I can see being popular, I love ferrets myself!

Only snag for me is it's shape reminds me an awful lok of Jeremy Fish's Barry the Beaver, which might not be such a good thing as it doubles up as another kind of toy for adults if you get my meaning.

Aw, you're right Jillustrate: Concerning this place, I always forget that particular aspect that should be incorporated into the submitted designs: whether or not it's marketable for PT's audience. Now that you mention it, your design really fits that bill well.

What's marketable on PT is something I should think more about when creating any future submissions of my own here. I've created two so far, and I know my mind wasn't considering that at all.

thanx for the comment, fydbac! i understand the aesthetics and dynamics of "designer toys," believe me, i have a shelf full of them ;) but considering the audience of this website, the majority of the designs uploaded and in the shop, and the figures that are actually -selling- from the shops, i wouldn't consider many of them 'designer toys' more than i would just call them 'webcomic character figurines' or 'furry art' ;) i understand where you're coming from completely, but if folks like something, they are going to vote for it here regardless of whether it follows a generalized idea of what a 'designer toy' is supposed to look like :)

For myself, the stance and general design is much too simple, especially as a [designer] figurine: which should be more imaginative and unique. Overall, it may not grab me in anyway, but it looks like it might work as a customizable. I can imagine people painting and adding on to the design to make it their own true designer figure :)

thank you for your comments, everyone!! just as a heads-up, i have no plans to develop this as a plush design -- i think it would look rather lumpy and wouldn't translate well, it was designed to be a figure/toy/ :)

Wow, this wonderfully captures the essence of ferrets, which is both Cuteness and Awesomeness. The only thing they don't do is the Ferret War Dance, but you can simulate that by playing with them, and if you're not playing with your toys, why did you bother buying them?

It would truly make my dreams come true to get little figurines of these cute little guys. I've never been able to find any no matter how hard I've looked, and these look just like the fur-kids I lost to an undiscernible medical condition 5 months ago.
