I know I’m not alone in my fascination with ancient Egypt and all related paraphenalia- I’m sure any number of you fine folks still carry a torch for musky tombs and papyrus scrolls and complicated embalming techniques! Chubby, younger versions of the Egyptian gods started showing up in the margins of my hieroglyphics notes several years ago, and so I decided to adapt one into a Patch Together design- in the case, my tiny Horus! I tried to come up with a style that was sleek, yet reminiscent of the traditional colours and motifs found in Egyptian carvings- a unique but recognizeable little object. This is Horus before he got into that scuffle with Set... He’s still playing with marbles and getting stuck in the mud.

Let me add another voice to the thought that I am SO rooting for this to be a vinyl (or whatever) figure, not a plush! Pretty please!

Hey there- yeah, I was assuming it would be a resin/vinyl figure as well, and having been in the mountains for the weekend I only just noticed that it was up for preorder in the first place, let alone the fact that it's listed as a plush. :)

 

I'm gonna try to sort it out asap!

Congrads in getting this put through to pre-order status!  I was under the impression that this would be a plastic/resin toy. It is listed as a plush :( Was my assumption wrong?

I can't wait for this to go on preorder! I've seriosly been checking everyday for it! I also hope it does well enough to get a series going. I think any egyptian god you choose to do would look great!

I'm a huge fan of ancient egyptian mythology and this is both adorable and cool. I love the legs and the whole thing is great. I definitely want one. A whole series would make my day!

I adore this. It's design is simple but really nice on the eyes. Such a quirky cute character and I love anything to do with egypt, this cute little guy is no exception. Definitely voting for this!

Thanks for the feedback, you guys!  I'd love to do a full series, so it's great to know there would be an audience for it- Anubis is probably next in line, and I'm definitely curious to see how Osiris and other human gods would look in this style.

Tiny Horus is so cute! I want to pat his little belly and while his eyes still have the wonder of childhood, they are already starting to show the wisdom he will possess in later life. I also like the detailing on his headdress and arm and ankle bands.

I'd like to see a run of Egyptian deities like this--Li'l Anubis, for example. The contrast between the handling and the lurid histories would be delicious.
