About My Design

It's a bungle in the jungle...under the sea! Rarely sighted and scarcely known, this underwater denizen of the deep has only one thing on his fish-funky mind. Barrels of monkey fun!

Thanks again guys, glad you like it!

Evil-Santa...thanks for the comments. I think you're right about not only the purple version, but perhaps the other colors as well. I didn't spend as much time tweaking those as the main image, they were more or less just to get an idea of other color schemes, but they would definitely look better with some highlight/color mixes in those scales. BTW...lover your stuff, it's crazy good! Love the cactus, a very late "congrats" for the win as well. It's gotta' be cool to see your piece become a reality, and with such attention to detail. Very nice!

I absolutely love this. I hope it gets made so I can put this on my desk. I agree with the translucent idea as well. Really cool stuff.

The comments from both Polysoup and Lobita are spot on, this design is great! I think the blue-green colour scheme is still your strongest, though you could push the purple one a little more with introducing some of the aquarmarine fin colour to it's fins and maybe it could go further. The design is just retro and goofy enough to present as a strong contempory design and I wish you well with it. Great work

daww, thanks runcible. Your designs are just as good. Just a matter of finding something that clicks with people! And post wherever you can to get some attention. That's the hard part.

Runcible commented on 22nd Jul 2011 (Report Spam)

Added a quick image of some alternate color schemes...nothin' fancy, just options. ;)

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated!

Yeah Polysoup...I agree. The Meathead thing was pretty much just to get started on Patch Together, an old design i just threw up to see how things work around here. I plan on doing more "toy friendly" concepts in the future. Thanks for your comment, your stuff is freakin' awesome!

nice. I like the translucent idea.

Polysoup commented on 20th Jul 2011 (Report Spam)

Derp derp! Would be nice to see the fins a semi transparent material. Very loveable. Your Meathead figure was cool but I like this direction better. Not only in subject matter but also in execution.

Lobita commented on 20th Jul 2011 (Report Spam)

Oh man, I love this! It has a really retro feel, sort of like sea monkeys combined with The Creature from the Black Lagoon, with some pop surrealist charm.
