As much as I'd like to redo this and fix up the many errors I've made (legs not matching up, etc), I've been working on this design on and off for about a month now, and I've been planning on submitting a design here for probably over a year, so for now I'm uploading it as is, or else it'll never get done. Any critique at this point is welcome. As you can see, the tail will be used as a base to keep the figure upright, it may have to be tweaked a bit in order to balance properly, but it will follow the same overall pose. I'd like to have a DIY colorway available as well, for those who'd like to paint their own.

Gorgeous and elegant design, I would love to buy it if this Dragon is made into a figure! Hopefully, this design will get more support it has great potential!!

Awesome and a PYO would be cool.

Oooh, gorgeous design <3

But like others have mentioned, I'd think about adding a base to it, the tail doesn't seem like it would hold it up correctly.

Great work, and good luck!

I love this little thing and want one on my desk. Very elegant and ethereal.

Very pretty, nice combination of colours!

This is really a lovely, little design - and as previous posters have indicated, elegant. It exudes the word. The colors are fluffy and ethereal, and I adore the tail-base design because it would be such a neat little critter to have on a desktop.

When I clicked on the thumbnail, I wasn't expecting the face to look so elegant or the tail to be the base. Needless to say, the entire piece is really *really* nice.

Beautiful design and colours! <33

If you aren't a fan of adding a base to it due to weight... this also would make a very cute plushie.

Art-n-Coffee commented 27th Jun 2010

very pretty. But I did a design like this with the tail for the base and noone agreed that it would work. So a base is probably needed. a cloud or something? would personally like it without a base if it is possible

It's adorable! :D

This is amazing. I love how you manage to make dragons so beautiful, and graceful, like this little orchid draggie. :D GOD I hope they make this.

Very nice figure and a very good design. The colours go well together and the design is simply brilliant. :D

This is one of the prettiest figures I've seen on this site.
BloodhoundOmega commented 26th Jun 2010
I have always been a fan of dragon fogurines, especially if their pose was more dynamic and delicate than a "simpley" standing dragon. :D
Dindella commented 25th Jun 2010
It's so cute and beautiful!! It's design is unique as well--I LOVE IT! Keep up the great work!
bloodhound commented 25th Jun 2010

The little dragons this user makes are always dainty and lovely things!

I would love to have this cute dragon sitting on my desk, looking at me while I'm working :3
sharvampire commented 25th Jun 2010
Yay! I want it :D

Thanks for the feedback everyone, depending on how sturdy the plastic is, it may need more support, if it does, I'll probably go with some leaves and/or flowers :)

Shottsy commented 25th Jun 2010

I really love the design of this, and the colors are really unique! I love dragons, and pastel colors so this would be right up my alley! I do believe that it would need some sort of base though, what if you made the base sort of gardeny, with flowers, and this standing amidst them?

PitchblackDrago commented 25th Jun 2010

I really love the design and the colours look awesome

SeaSalt commented 25th Jun 2010
The same thing concerns me, unless this is constructed out of a very sturdy material or a base is added I can't see the tail being able to support the weight. I don't mind the addition of a base, but I think it should be designed around the dragon and not just be a generic support. By the way I really enjoy the colors, very summer.
Death-Taffy commented 25th Jun 2010

This is absolutely lovely.

The only thing that concerns me is that it's tail does not look thick enough to be able to support all of the weight created by the wings and the back-fin. It may need a base and a post.

Shumi commented 25th Jun 2010
I like how you have drawn the arms and chest it looks very natural and believable. Im also not sure it could stand on just its tail. If you decide to add a base, try to keep it delicate like the dragon itself.
Elfenn commented 25th Jun 2010

Your orchid wyvern is awesome ! I love the idea he would stand thanks to his tail. Behind the back, it's a kind of floral comb ? Very beautiful =)

Picamadew commented 25th Jun 2010
The colours on this are gorgeous. I may be bias as I love pink and yellow together a lot. I think the design is quiet nice as well though I'm not a big dragon person. I think that the tail would probably need to be huge those to support this guy as he'd be very very top heavy.
