I know it's a part of his character design, but I'd honestly be more inclined to buy this if he had both arms. I just think the stump would look weird on a figure. Like it broke off or something.

nice art, but most people will have a hard time seeing the appeal of your OC. You want to appeal to the WIDEST audience possible, so it's usually best to stick with concepts that anyone can understand. (the exception to this is if you've got a  huge fanbase, haha)

Other than that, how does he play guitar with only one arm?
