About My Design

A North American Jackalope is always fun to hear about. Take a walk in the woods and you maybe lucky to run across one of these guys.

I absolutely love rabbits, so a rabbit with antlers is just too cute to pass up :D I'd certainly buy it ^^

This is an adorable plush design! I would definitely buy one of each of the colors! The fact that the ears would be pose-able, and that the antlers, nose and teeth would be molded rather than plush themselves is perfect! I think it'd be nice if the eyes were molded too, rather than big fabric eyes like some plush toys. Its overall design is awesome, and it's so cute! I think the butt would maybe also have to be a bit bean bag, just to ensure that it can stand right, but I believe that with the right material choices, this could be a bestseller!

Your flopped jackalope sketch makes this a desired plush!

Added a side sketch and what it would look like flopped over :3

Really?

I haven't seen Br'er Rabbit in years. I had to google it to see what he looked like cause it had been so long. If there is a likeness, it is purely coincidental. I did not copy anything for this. This is how my style is as you can see on my dA account or through my other PT designs, or the picture below. Seeing as I'm not a "pro artist" here, PT has checked it over and approved it. I'm sure this would not have gone through if they felt the same as you do, and if they choose to take it down... that is their choice. I'm not writing this to be argumentative but merely to clarify the facts on this end.

I love jackalopes and an animated style, and one look at the face of your creature says "Disney's Briar Rabbit from Song of the South". It's identical. I'm surprised Patch Together hasn't taken this down for copyright issues.

Definitely one of those plushes you don't find, though I prefer the brown alt color to grey, seems much more traditional for a jackalope.

Jackalope! Hehe, cute idea, and I like the idea of seeing a design turned into more of a beanbag plushie - the horns might take a little more creativity to make real, but that's not to say it isn't totally possible.

Zonkey commented on 16th Jun 2010 (Report Spam)

I was hoping the large rump and bean bag feet would hold it up. Kind of like the old fashion velveteen rabbits used to be (its where I got my inspiration from). Something you can have sitting up or flop over. But I guess that if the horns, nose (etc) were plush it would make it lighter and less likely to fall over. I guess I need to think these designs through more. Perhaps one day I'll make something more awesome. ;3

My problem isn't that the pose is boring, it's that it's off balance. As a plush, this would fall over often. But otherwise it's a pretty cute design :)

This would be an ADORABLE plushie! :)

I love it. My grandpa would take me jackalope hunting as a kid.
SilverFox commented on 11th Jun 2010 (Report Spam)

Who doesn't like jackalopes? I like the design. And, as far as people saying it's boring, it's a plush...

Bland poses are perfectly fine with plushes. I personally like this a lot. The black and white one looks a little like a rabbit I had when I was little c: well this character is very fine looking. I like the idea of the body being faux fur, that'd make a little more realistic I suppose. Good luck with this design - I see much potential. Very well done.
Zonkey commented on 9th Jun 2010 (Report Spam)

Okay... I know the pose is boring but I did it this way cause it is a PLUSH TOY and this is how it would likely stand if made. I can actually make more interesting poses... I guess I will have to do better for the next one ^.^'

Death-Taffy commented on 8th Jun 2010 (Report Spam)

Aw! I love jackalopes. This looks like it would be a fun plushie. Especially with floppy, bean bag feet. XD

Pyridene commented on 8th Jun 2010 (Report Spam)
The idea is good but the pose is a little boring.
THE CAS commented on 8th Jun 2010 (Report Spam)
i like the reindeer horns, but wach out the design is a little stiff it could benefit from some eye and body movement.
