Yikes!
AidenValo commented 31st Dec 2009

The anatomy is still crap, her back is dipped like a horses's and tossing Moon's markings onto your character is going to make it look even worse.

Epic fail, kid.

This is a figure that YOU want? This is a professional toy site, not something that you submit just for you. The head looks extremely familiar, and reminds me of some free templates I saw once.. I honestly think that only you would want this. Not only is it a 'sparkledog' but if it were produced in those proportions? There are MORE than enough stupid colored wolves on PT. There's more than enough wolves and 'canines' period.

Sutaa commented 14th Oct 2009
ok guys. look please stop commenting on it because one i agree with a lot of you that this isnt good at all. I'm going to leave for now and practice and hopefully when i get better i can try again. So please dont comment or vote on this figure or the other or the one that i thought has better anatomy that hasnt shown up yet on here. I'm going to go practice now. Im sorry i wasted your time. bye
Cloverwhite commented 14th Oct 2009
Katmomma is right that this is a professional toy site.  And on that note, this is NOT a place for your practice.  This is a bad design, plain and simple, it is.

Try something more original, something that isn't just-like-everyone-else.  Which... Well, I've seen a million of these, especially on DA.  If someone was to buy this toy, why would they feel justified that they have something unique when there are so many of similar design.
Tawawawa commented 14th Oct 2009
There's no way it can turn its head 180 degrees like that.
Sutaa commented 14th Oct 2009
thanks. accetially my very first character i created was just a plain old grey wolf. i have a wolf calander that im using to study on and get better i also have a wolf figure that i bought that i look at closely for details and i have a picture my uncle gave me that i look at for the face
Sutaa commented 14th Oct 2009
well accetially when i went to save this picture the computer screwed up the colors. The original design for this wolf is meant to be in the dark because she usually shows up during the night time and her marking and eyes glow
Dogslug commented 14th Oct 2009
I think the main problem here is the colors clash pretty badly. I agree that this could be a cute series, like My LIttle Ponies but with wolves. The main thing I would suggest is studying color theory a bit and finding colors that go together more harmoniously.
katrine commented 14th Oct 2009
The images look very squished. This is a nice idea, but not original. This is done many times before. I can see you can draw. But to get enough votes here to win you need more skills. Draw a little everyday, make lots of studies of real life (not others art). Try to think outside the box when you try to make a original character design. I'm sure you can make a cool character if you just sit down and do some research. Good luck, I'm sure you can make it :)
Katmomma commented 14th Oct 2009
well this is a professional toy design site. I would expect nothing less than mature and thoughtful commentary. I would discourage everyone from responding in bitter tones, but this does not mean I think people should hold back from what they see weak and in need of improvement. All that is needed is a little politeness.

Politeness goes a long way. ;)

You apparently do 'give a crap', Sutaa, since you're getting so up in arms and offended by our comments. Learn to suck it up and take harsh criticism, cuz if you come here with things like this then you can expect people to be jerks because we've seen so many feral characters like this and it's quite annoying after a while :/
Sutaa commented 13th Oct 2009
thanks. it makes it easier on me when people say it a lot nicer to me. i kindof have a short temper and loose it really easily. Only a few people can calm me down. but she someone say something nicel and pointing out things with being a jerk makes me think about it more and not get mad
Katmomma commented 13th Oct 2009
It would make a cute little collectible if this was part of a series. I could see it being something younger kids would be interested in- much like the collectible "My Little Pony". Unfortunately, it's something that has already been done before, so I don't think originality in the sense of uniqueness will be on your side with this. Keep developing your drawing skills and never stop learning. You are on to a good start ;) For future designs, think about what really draws viewer's attention if you are truly serious about having a design turned into a toy. You have creativity, use it well <3
Sutaa commented 13th Oct 2009
you know what screw you all. I dont care what you all say!!!! So what my freakin anotomy is off!!!!!! I'm still practicing!!!!! But i have a lot of my friends who want this!!! This design and the other are for my dang comic!!!!!!! I dont give a crap what you all say so BACK OFF!!!!!!!! Thank you Wolfeyes for giving a positive comment for once unlike the others
krishva commented 13th Oct 2009
It's like a My Little Pony without the design/color sense. Geesh. This thing is actually kind of an eyesore. You could lose the ridiculous spraypainted-on markings and go with a more creative pose or creature.
Sombra29 commented 13th Oct 2009
"dont let them tell you anything :]" What? oh right, I see,you want everyone just to say "awesome" "nice" or "very cute" ? Im sorry, but this is no DA or FA. All the crittics here are completly justified, and if this artist has any interest in progress,he/she will let everyone tell her/him whats wrong, with open arms.
Javado commented 13th Oct 2009
WolfEyes, if you want a toy like this go down to a store and find a wolf figurine and get bright acrylics and paint over it whatever ridiculous nonsense markings you please and you will get something like this. I'm pretty sure you could even find it in the same pose, too, but with anatomy that makes more sense.
samotage commented 13th Oct 2009
"sparkledog is a term for an animal character, popularly a wolf or dog, which has unnatural colors, strange, usually clashy markings, lots of fluff and often a large amount of accessoiries like piercings, bandanas and collars, which it could not possibly apply to itself since it has no thumbs. " ~Urban dictionary

Considering you've got the "unnatural colors, strange, usually clashy markings" part down, i would indeed call it a sparkledog, WolfEyes.
WolfEyes commented 13th Oct 2009
very cute :]
WolfEyes commented 13th Oct 2009
okay everyone, just shut up >:[
i think its an adorable pose, i wouldnt mind having one myself. ^_^
it is NOT a sparkle dog, either. just the face that it is a colorful wolfdoes not make it a sparkledog. and okay, so the anatomy is off, that doesnt mean it cant be made into a sculpture! not everyone can draw perfectly you know.
i love it, dont let them tell you anything :]
Javado commented 13th Oct 2009
colors are hideous and ugly, markings and design make little to no sense, anatomy is horrible, pose is unexciting and generic.. Basically a typical ugly sparkledog and I really hope you're not trying to make some dog comic with it like everyone else and their mothers. I never want to see this as a toy- please come back when you have something new, original, and nice-looking to possibly be made into a toy.
Gonah commented 13th Oct 2009
done for a very small group of people and not too terribly original or well drawn (normally not a problem, but when looking to sell a product, the best artwork possible is best.)
Nelty commented 13th Oct 2009
the left/right side image is anatomically impossible.

Really just... not very nice looking.
RayJ commented 13th Oct 2009
Oh God... this is just... awful.
Cloverwhite commented 13th Oct 2009
Honestly, this is absolutely hideous. The colors are bad, the pose is generic, the character is just a sparkle dog. This is in no way an interesting toy.

I'm sorry, Sutaa, but I hate the color combination. Also, what is going on with its mouth? The red marks look like lipstick or something.
Greykitty commented 13th Oct 2009
The colors hurt my eyes and the anatomy is very off. I would suggest trying something other than a sparkle wolf, and brush up on your anatomy more. Also look into more dynamic posing, especially if it's for a figurine. Walking poses are very boring.
