Well, I have a pretty impressive title huh? Anyways, this is a design I made today of my character, Glare. All Crits and what not are very appreciated.

Hmm, I think that people are taking this a bit too far. It is a wolf character, wolves are all over the internet at the moment but it isn't poorly designed :< I love Glare's design.

Another poorly designed personal wolf character. No.
fishdinner commented 16th Feb 2010

You're an okay artist but this wolf stuff is trite and boring.

nommer commented 15th Feb 2010

Emo wolves based off Wolf's Rain poses shouldn't be toys, sorry!

Yet another looks-the-same wolf OC. I could buy a toy wolf from anywhere and paint it to look like this.

Arcora commented 10th Feb 2010
I'd have to agree with the others, I'm not too sure people will be interested in a personal character, and wolves are some of the most commonly found things on the internet in the first place. That said, it wouldn't hurt to try experimenting with other animals and creating your own animal as long as it doesn't become something overly ridiculous. Like a cyborg wolf-ninja thing XD. There's a ton of potential here though, so don't give up.

First off, I do think you have potential. Your artistic capabilities show that, however, I personally do not think this will sell simply because it is a wolf, and most people wouldn't buy someone else's character. ): That aside, I hope that you won't give up! The pose is lovely, as well. (:

Remember, you make designs for PT- PT isn't a place where you can get your characters made. Your character isn't particularly interesting, because it's just another wolf... granted it has red hair and markings, but that's pretty standard amongst the numerous wolves on PT. Very few people are going to be interested in your personal character. Your anatomy is also bad. The legs, and that strange cheek bulge, are awkward. Personally, I'd say scrap this design and create an entirely new design. I think that you probably do have some creativity in you, but you need to let that come out. As it stands, this is very uncreative, and you can probably do a lot better.

I agree with viseone but there's one other thing that strikes. The pose makes me think that the wolf has been or tossed in someway and he's falling back, it's not very appealing.
Nhyra commented 7th Feb 2010

It's a very generic sort of character and not something the general punlic would probably want. Very good pose though, maybe try creating some sort of creature that might be more appealing? Also, the leg anatomy is off, so maybe work on that a bit.
Other than that, you are quite the good artist, I think we could see some nice work coming from you.

Chalicothere commented 7th Feb 2010

It's a great character, although I agree with everyone else, it needs work.  I'd almost like to see him/her re-thought out as a dire wolf, mesonyx, or some other prehistoric canine-like animal because that's what the markings and pose remind me of.

hey, guys. Thanks so much for the crits! I'll take all of this into mind

Jazzer commented 7th Feb 2010

Hey - it's Glare! :D I like it. Curious of how it would balance though o.o but the picture is beautiful and the figure would be, too. ^^ good luck.

Quirk commented 7th Feb 2010

Well its certainly a very dynamic pose for a wolf but in the end its only a wolf. Like VISEone said, you've got potential. Just explore it a bit more.

VISEone commented 7th Feb 2010

Another wolf design - so I have to ask why you think this should make it to a production? How many people do you guess will immediately order this character when it will come available?

Is your character one of a kind? Is your character outstanding - compared to other similar wolf designs?

I can go to a toystore and buy tons of PVC wolfes, dogs and such characters which easily can be repainted.

Before you submit a design to a site that is looking for designs that a wider range of people would like to buy you have to ask yourself what will make us pick your character for a toyproduction?

Your drawing skills shows me you have potential to come up with something more unique - something that isn't on the market and would catch more interest by a wider range of audience.

So don't feel discouraged by my words I do like your drawing!
