So many things have been said... I think that your idea of a furry taking off his fur is not a good idea for PT's members/buyers, you have understood it. BUT, there is a "but" (and not only a "butt") : you got something with your robot version. Not necessarily making a furry bot taking off his fur, but I like the idea of a lovely plush that is actually a robot. It has ever been done, but almost in illustrations, I don't know if toys like this exist. You can make something with this idea, the contrast between the soft warm fur and the cold metal. Perhaps it would be less weird if the robot took off his plushie head, and not the fur of his body.
Longer ears, definitely. Not quite "bunny" enough. I was going to mention a piercing in the ears when I noticed the one in the nose. If the angle to emphasize sexuality, you might want to add more cleavage. If the emphasis is creep-out: stitches
It means I was trying to create (unsucesfully) the same sort of multiple feelings the card creates. Is Tamala going to eat the anthropomorphic mouse?Or is she going to "eat" the mouse? It depends on each person's personal view and prejudices.
Apologies, it just seemed that way to me but I guess from what you say it was unintentional. Never would have guessed english was not a first language. Though, I don't get the rest of that comment. What exactly is the picture in the attachment suppose to represent? I'm a little confused by it.
Comments from some members here are full of vitriol(in this the PT staff concurs)My comments are free of slander, insults, aspersions and petty childish name-calling.English is not my native tongue,so if i unintentionally offended anyone,my sincere apologies.Your comments,ooAquaDragonoo, show that your english and communication skills are only surpassed by your artistic prowess.
I enclose here a scan of a free promotional card for an award winning, critically acclaimed animated film. This was handed out to thousandsof attendees at SDCC.If I grasp the gist of your comment, perhaps this is what you suggested.
Giving people's comments a smart-ass response won't get you a lot of favorable buyers, either.
And as a "professional" as you worded it, I don't draw stripping animals for people with creepy fetishes. Sorry. It's disgusting.
Turing the body into a robot doesn't help either because that just makes it look weird. Like someone said before me, move on to the rest. Don't color over "improvements" on the original image. Taking an improvement to heart means completely re-drawing it, not taking the lazy way out and photoshoping over it.
Normally I'd segest giving the rabbit a more human-shaped figure, but, that's a REALLY big no-no as that's considered a furry and I don't think even fans of furries are willing to buy a toy of one to publicly display their animal-porn fetish.. For what little amount of fans of furries there even are, I don't think PT would make money off it even if you managed to make a lot of people get accounts and vote for it.
I wish it was more like the DS.Am I so out of sync?Sure,I prefer Peter Jackson's "Meet the Feebles" to his "Lord of the Rings" and prefer to listen to Kay Kyser,"The Bambi Molesters" and M.I.A. instead of Lady Gaga, but I really thought the design, with all it's contradictions and apparent creepiness, would be a hoot.Live and learn!
Just move onto the next one, dude. Nobody likes it, and the "improvements" aren't helping. Just move onto the next one. It's like Nintendo's Virtual Boy. It gave everyone migraines and nobody wanted one, so they buried it.
Was only following the helpful hints from the members,if you read their suggestions. Why not show me what you would think appropiate? There is a "upload file" below the comments box.As a proffesional,it shouldn't take you more than a couple of minutes with a HB pencil.
Sorry but coloring wrinkles over the original design hardly counts as an improvement. I don't want a stripping child bunny sitting on my desk nor do I want a stripping wrinkly grandmother bunny sitting on my desk.
I'm in favor of having this removed tbh.. not only is it distasteful (and seems like it hints at cp and the latter) but I wouldn't buy it (I wouldn't even buy the 2nd and so called "improved" design) try to create something that someone would actually "want" to have sitting on their shelf/bookcase/desk.
mmm...what did I forget?Looks too much like Thumper? Not anymore.Mouth gag's gone.Looks too young? Not anymore.Voyeuristic? If anything you would want her to zip up back to her neck. What is it this time?Does it promote elderly abuse or something? Are her rheumy eyes too enticing?I feel like Bazza among the poms.
Rougee,if you could post some rough sketches of how you think the figure could be improved,I'd be forever grateful. That goes for all who have objections to the technical aspects of the design.I welcome constructive criticism.I'm not a proffesional artist, nor have experience in designing vinyl toys.
I find it disturbing that some members have no designs or drawings at all either in their gallery or posted, yet seem to have a plethora of criticism.Show something of your work, and don't be afraid of receiving critical appraissal.
Any and all tips on how to improve my drawing and designing abilities are greatly appreciated.
If you get a chance, check out the bunnies in Soyuzmultfilm's "Little Greyneck".They are adorable.
Looks like female thumper. I am really NOT a fan of animal porn either.. It kinda disgusts me.
The drawing is poorly executed, I hate the idea, and only perverts would by a stripping rabbit which is really something I would not promote. The description of it being "kinky" pretty much proves that..
Things that are "naughty" "sexual" and "kinky" in my opinion should not be openly promoted for all ages to see.. That's just my opinion though.. And that rabbit is drawn to look like a tubby baby rabbit which also isn't cool..
Danke schon,ViSEone.
Even I wouldn't buy this, I wouldn't even want it made into a toy, you'll have much better luck at one of those furry conventions with this thing.. (Disney rip-off it looks like too)
Back from vacation and It seems I'll have to catch up a lot of things going on here lately...
Well - everything has been said already - artwise it either hit your personally taste or it doesn't...that's up to each viewer.
When it comes to "rip off" or "copyright issues" I'll have to point out to many artists that use famous characters like Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald, Spongebob or others and interpret them in their own way - so this is a common thing.
Also beeing influenced by existing characters is something you can see very often. But at the end what counts is the result.
This design here didn't catch the interest funimal expected and therefor funimal should take all comments as experience and critiques to improve his/her own style.
Maybe your idea was okay but your execution was poor as you can tell by all the comments you recieved.
However I ask everybody here to stay professional and comment in a mature way.
... Artistically; the anatomy is flawed, it is unbalanced, has no solid structure or construction which, all in all, makes it even more difficult to imagine as a sculpture.
The subject matter is way too specific to garner my vote.
and morally speaking; well I guess everybody already said enough truth.
I see a potential problem with referencing Disney... I find the subversion entertaining but I understand that not everyone will appreciate it. Good luck!
I happen to have a passion for animation of all sorts, which is why examples keep popping to mind.I suppose old Tex Avery really had no "voyeuristic" intentions with his "lizard striptease",you all know better I suppose.Vox populi and all that.
I also suppose the artwork I post is drawn by a mysterious person who hands them to me via owl-post.Perhaps Draco?
"Badly-drawn"?I would appreciate any technical tips on improving my artwork.I'm always looking for constructive criticism.
Shoomlah hit the nail on the head. "Voyeuristic" is the perfect way to describe it. All your examples were not done to be sexy/appeal to a fetish, like this one is obviously meant to. And no matter how many times this idea has supposedly been done in the past, it's obvious from everyone's reactions that this time it didn't work.
Also, how do you keep pulling out all these examples? Is there a list somewhere of animals unzipping their skin and/or animal bondage in pop culture? Or do you just... memorize this stuff? 8I
This is poorly drawn, is a clear knockoff of extant character like Disney's Thumper or Chip & Dale, and is such a specific fetishistic aesthetic that I can't for the life of me imagine why you think this would get 25 people to sign on and purchase it.
You make mention of classic cartoons stripping off their fur that was never done in a voyeuristic fashion, and the bondage community which is hardly made up entirely of pedophiles and furries. To claim either as an excuse for what is, to be frank, a really bad design, is just immature.
As you can clearly see from other PT users, this is obviously not artwork that is going to be looked at in a good light. The subject is lewd, the art is not your own, and constantly refering to old cartoons is not helping your argument what so ever.
If you haven't done so yet, read what Samotage has posted.
Also, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop harassing and threatening me on my page.
latest fur/skin unzipping-Spongebob Squarepants episode "Someone's in the Kitchen with Sandy"Before that,Ren and Stimpy episode "Ren's sick".
In a recent episode of Family Guy,a cow is being branded, she screams from delight. She bids them pause for a moment, runs off and gets a mouth gag,and bids them continue.Got a load of laffs, not one complaint.
The pages of Previews magazine are filled with toys and resin statues that are both adult, revealing and disturbing(Living Dead Dolls,Goth Girls et al)and at Anime Xpo I saw many people purchasing items that made even me blush. They may not keep them on top of their desks, but someone is buying them, whether hentai, aoi or futanari.
I may try to contact that nightclub in Hollywood,I wonder if they are looking for a mascot?
Yes but did he spend $2000 going to a FURRY bondage nightclub?
And if he did, would he put pictures of his escapades on his desk at work?
Because remember, if this were made into a toy, every person who bought it would be basically announcing to everyone they knew that they like furry bondage.
And maybe it's just me, but out of the small crowd of people who like that fetish, I bet even fewer are willing to publicly celebrate it.
You keep referring to cartoons of the past as excuses for these designs, but the fact is, standards are different today. Undressing animals might have just been funny back then, but today they just seem like a furry fetish. So they go from cute/funny to disturbing/sexual.
Obviously no one here has ever seen the 1930-40s cartoons where an animal(a sheep,a duck, even a lizard)strips his/her "skin" to reveal bare or almost-bare skin underneath,or Frank Kozik's "Mad Bunny"(his wears handcuffs).
As for who would buy this,I think Mr. Steel of the republican party would fit the bill(he spent $2,000 dollars going to a bondage-themed nightclub in Hollywood)
That's.... gross, to be honest. I wouldn't buy it, myself. :/ Not trying to be rude, but I dunno if anybody would buy something like this.... unlesssss they're just into that kinda thing. Just my opinon.
I have yet to see proof of the "tracing" accusation, have never seen rabbits with small ears in the Chipmunk movies. If such can be provided, post it.The PT staff should not condone scurrilous comments.
What the...what is this even supposed to be?
I hope the PT staff removes this. It's awful, tasteless, and obviously traced from the rabbits in Bambi, with small ears from the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movies.

No. Just no.
Just way too wierd.. And I'm wondering who was the person that decided that this was okay to upload! I basically second what Tak says.
this is absolutely horrifying, who would want this as a toy on thier desk?
terrifying :(
