I would think the artist is not making fun of the swine flu, but of the mass hysteria created by the media.  This would be a piece to have as a reminder of how quickly things can get out of hand.  I find the artwork very good and  if the piece was not intended for small children, very provocitive and a statement of our times. If produced, I would want to purchase.

While the art is good, I would not want to see this on my desk. Swine flu is not something to be joked about; many lives have been lost to it, and this feels as if you're just poking fun at those who have lost someone dear to it. I don't see this being a very successful figure because of all of the parts, especially the ribs. Not only that, but who would really want to spend money on a reminder of the swine flu?
