About My Design
I've always liked the image of the bright red hood, mixed with a shadowing wolf. Don't know if this sort of design would be possible to do, but I thought I'd give it a go.

You've managed to capture something very subtle and charming in a character that has had way too many bad remakes over the years. Would lovelovelove to see this put into production!

I thinks it's a very cute and interesting design. It would make both a wonderful t-shirt design, and an interesting figurine. :)

Wow...I mean WOW! I'd buy this in a heart beat.

The wolf reminds me of the big bad wolf from Mika's animated music video Lollypop, but perhaps that's a very good thing. It is to me. The idea of Red with a base and wolf backdrop is very appealing. I hope this is able to be submitted in a few categorys, to help exposure.

I really like the pose, and the wolf shadow piece. It has a nice all around look, and would look great as a figure! Please check out my dragon plush design!

Now that is a gorgeous idea... especially the way the base/shadow works.

Brilliant! (I also love the idea of a bookend version; as someone else mentioned)

To render something so "un-solid" as a shadow into a physical piece to a figure is really what grabs the eye in this. This concept is so beautiful; it would be lovely to see more angles and maybe a more "clean" or solid rendering of Little Red, especially the face, to get a better feel to what the figure might actually look like.
astroskink commented on 5th Jan 2010 (Report Spam)
Interesting how her shadow becomes the wolf... nice touch. She's so sweet but there's this element of menace in it too... adds a bit of tension to the design. Probably not something I'd buy, but regardless, well done.
PsychFox commented on 30th Dec 2009 (Report Spam)
Little red riding hood is still one of my favorite concepts. I like your output of this. best of luck!

Like others, I love the wolf shadow on this! The seeming smile adds just the right touch of creepy.

Would be a very interesting sculpture.

Really like how the wolf shape looms over her. It overshadows the character without overwhelming it. Great work!

looks like a really cool design, i can def. see this as a 3d model
YazzyDream commented on 15th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
This would look fantastic in 3d.
Sm1tZ commented on 14th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
i love this design, but i'm a bit worried about the wolf being so thin. Maybe if you make the base a wolf a bit thicker, it could become a bookend.

That also leaves an oppertunity to make a matching bookend of another fairy tale like Hansel and Gretel with a witch shadow :)
ladyfish commented on 14th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
love the design
Killer-Napkins commented on 14th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)

That's a great concept. Nice stuff.
Jordan-C commented on 13th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
The shadow would be cool as a smokey tinted transparent piece.
Blue-Bengal commented on 13th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
Very cool! I love the idea of the shadow also forming into the silhouette of the wolf! Really creative! I'd love to see more!
lulzy commented on 12th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
LOVE IT this needs to be a figure.
CheshyreDrops commented on 12th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
This is fantastic...I sort of wonder if the base is needed, and if it would make the shadow stand out even more without it, but either way the design is really excellent! :)
Pez-Banana commented on 12th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
this is one of those rare cases where an illustration is very good and then it shows great potential as a figure even if you translate it quite literally.

however, Loppi's suggestion is great, and would make this already awesome design even better.

i think giving the wolf shadow an increasing body mass as you get nearer to the head, but leaving the shape / silhouette / colors just as they are,  (black shadow only), would make your wolf-shadow perhaps the decisive element in this design - it steals the show!

i would make Little Red a little bit smaller, though. just so that there's more difference in the height of the girl and the wolf.

voted 5 and a favorite!

Very cute!
Livy commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
I absolutely love this! I like the wolf being 2-D, and it's probably more stable than if it turned more 3-D anyway. I don't think there is anything I DON'T like about this. =)
Cyndi commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
awesome!
fawnuh commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
The shadow as a backing is fun, but it's not something I would personally buy.
Vaporotem commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
Wonderful idea <3
iridogorgia commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
So original, I love it. I like the shadow being 2D, also.
ForeverUpwards commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
Adorable! I've never seen this done before. At first I thought, another fairy tale, but then I realized that this is a unique take. This rocks!
Whaleosaur commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
Wow! That's really cool! I love the wolf, especially.
Loppi commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
I love this, she's so sweet! Although I can't help but feel the shadow would look awesome if it was more 3Dimensional. So it kind of runs along the floor and fills out as it rises up in the background! Just an idea. Great job!
eurukatt commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
I love this concept and the image itself is lovely <3
Phoo commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
This is absolutely adorable! I'm loving the backdrop idea, for sure. I'd buy this, <3.
Fuhnora commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
Classic idea in your own modern way...I love it! And I think it would be totally possible. Have a thin piece attached to the base. It would make it extremely delicate...but I think it would work.
samotage commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
this is so cool! love the shadow-wolf idea
Berneri commented on 11th Nov 2009 (Report Spam)
