I've always liked the image of the bright red hood, mixed with a shadowing wolf. Don't know if this sort of design would be possible to do, but I thought I'd give it a go.

PiNkJazZ commented 6th Jan 2010
Brilliant! (I also love the idea of a bookend version; as someone else mentioned)

To render something so "un-solid" as a shadow into a physical piece to a figure is really what grabs the eye in this. This concept is so beautiful; it would be lovely to see more angles and maybe a more "clean" or solid rendering of Little Red, especially the face, to get a better feel to what the figure might actually look like.

Interesting how her shadow becomes the wolf... nice touch. She's so sweet but there's this element of menace in it too... adds a bit of tension to the design. Probably not something I'd buy, but regardless, well done.

Little red riding hood is still one of my favorite concepts. I like your output of this. best of luck!
neamora commented 18th Dec 2009
thats really cool
StansonKelly commented 17th Dec 2009

Like others, I love the wolf shadow on this! The seeming smile adds just the right touch of creepy.

Hauke commented 17th Dec 2009
This is a very cool idea
KatteAslaug commented 16th Dec 2009

This would be perfect as a bookend :D

shangelina commented 11th Dec 2009

very nice!

jtkayd commented 25th Nov 2009
Would be a very interesting sculpture.
redherringjeff commented 24th Nov 2009
Really like how the wolf shape looms over her. It overshadows the character without overwhelming it. Great work!
jehutyx commented 23rd Nov 2009
awesome job Kisa! :)
oOoRainbow commented 21st Nov 2009
Amazing, I really like how this looks.
Prudence commented 21st Nov 2009
A beautiful and unique design. It would be marvelous as a book end.
Sjeanette commented 19th Nov 2009
Fantastic concept!
blackpigeon commented 17th Nov 2009
really like the concept and think it would work out in 3d.
erinegodbey commented 15th Nov 2009
it's the best!
Epoch commented 15th Nov 2009
looks like a really cool design, i can def. see this as a 3d model
YazzyDream commented 15th Nov 2009
This would look fantastic in 3d.
Sm1tZ commented 14th Nov 2009
i love this design, but i'm a bit worried about the wolf being so thin. Maybe if you make the base a wolf a bit thicker, it could become a bookend.

That also leaves an oppertunity to make a matching bookend of another fairy tale like Hansel and Gretel with a witch shadow :)
ladyfish commented 14th Nov 2009
love the design
Killer-Napkins commented 14th Nov 2009
cool image ...

haha your eliptical looks off.
StarJar commented 13th Nov 2009
My favorite fairy tale :)
Sach commented 13th Nov 2009
Loving the shadow turn into the wolf :)
Paxtin commented 13th Nov 2009
That's a great concept. Nice stuff.
Jordan-C commented 13th Nov 2009
The shadow would be cool as a smokey tinted transparent piece.
Blue-Bengal commented 13th Nov 2009
Very cool! I love the idea of the shadow also forming into the silhouette of the wolf! Really creative! I'd love to see more!
VagCat commented 12th Nov 2009
LOVE IT this needs to be a figure.
CheshyreDrops commented 12th Nov 2009
This is fantastic...I sort of wonder if the base is needed, and if it would make the shadow stand out even more without it, but either way the design is really excellent! :)
Pez-Banana commented 12th Nov 2009
this is one of those rare cases where an illustration is very good and then it shows great potential as a figure even if you translate it quite literally.

however, Loppi's suggestion is great, and would make this already awesome design even better.

i think giving the wolf shadow an increasing body mass as you get nearer to the head, but leaving the shape / silhouette / colors just as they are,  (black shadow only), would make your wolf-shadow perhaps the decisive element in this design - it steals the show!

i would make Little Red a little bit smaller, though. just so that there's more difference in the height of the girl and the wolf.

voted 5 and a favorite!

Kirara commented 11th Nov 2009
omg I love this in every way ♥
Mistress-Miel commented 11th Nov 2009
Very cute!
Livy commented 11th Nov 2009
I absolutely love this! I like the wolf being 2-D, and it's probably more stable than if it turned more 3-D anyway. I don't think there is anything I DON'T like about this. =)
Cyndi commented 11th Nov 2009
awesome!
fawnuh commented 11th Nov 2009
The shadow as a backing is fun, but it's not something I would personally buy.
Vaporotem commented 11th Nov 2009
Wonderful idea <3
iridogorgia commented 11th Nov 2009
So original, I love it. I like the shadow being 2D, also.
ForeverUpwards commented 11th Nov 2009
Adorable! I've never seen this done before. At first I thought, another fairy tale, but then I realized that this is a unique take. This rocks!
mamitc commented 11th Nov 2009
Wow! That's really cool! I love the wolf, especially.
Loppi commented 11th Nov 2009
I love this, she's so sweet! Although I can't help but feel the shadow would look awesome if it was more 3Dimensional. So it kind of runs along the floor and fills out as it rises up in the background! Just an idea. Great job!
eurukatt commented 11th Nov 2009
I love this concept and the image itself is lovely <3
Phoo commented 11th Nov 2009
This is absolutely adorable! I'm loving the backdrop idea, for sure. I'd buy this, <3.
Fuhnora commented 11th Nov 2009
Classic idea in your own modern way...I love it! And I think it would be totally possible. Have a thin piece attached to the base. It would make it extremely delicate...but I think it would work.
samotage commented 11th Nov 2009
this is so cool! love the shadow-wolf idea
Berneri commented 11th Nov 2009
oh, this is really nice !
krispynuggets commented 11th Nov 2009
I very much like the concept!  Red is adorable too.
