Sphinxes are elusive beasts that guard their respective domains. With their eerily human faces and powerful bestial bodies, they are widely feared and worshiped by those who believe in their existence. Fax is the only sphinx to be known by a mortal name, legend says that he was once bound to a human girl long ago. Now that she is gone, he wanders in the most desolate reaches of the desert. --The second sphinx! Sorry this one is a bit rougher than the last, I got into a motorcycle accident last Saturday and this is the first drawing I've been able to finish since then. Still working on controlling my smashed up hand. Anyhoo, this one might need a base, I will work on an alternate view or two. I kind of wish I had gotten something other than a quadruped character done considering the huge amount of them around the site right now...but I will save that for when my hand is all healed up.
