Yeah, the anatomy did seem a bit off to me,so I'm working on a second version, especially with improved chests and legs.

Outfit-wise,I might give that a try to. :D

This is a good start, but what's really holding this back (in my opinion) is the anatomy. The pose itself is strong, but unfortunately the anatomy really takes away from it. What stands out the most to me is the chest, hand holding the staff, and feet.

Looking up photos of male chests will make that an easy fix, but the hand will require some more work.

Probably the best way to fix that is to model the pose yourself in front of a mirror. You'll see how awkward holding your hand like that is, and by miming it you'll be able to figure out a more natural position.

The feet have an issue with the foreshortening: one foot looks like a digitigrade paw, while the other looks plantigrade. I suggest googling bear feet, since they're pretty close to a cross between dog and human feet =D

Also, since you're not really giving his outfit a new spin, I suggest giving him the outfit he's got in hieroglyphics. But that's just personal preference :O
