The Skinny - Robot God Akamatsu is a valentine to the Super Robot genre of the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. Giant robots and monsters attack Boston, and Robot Go Akamatsu (RGA, for short) is the city’s only form of defense! The Story - Jin Akamatsu has been kicked out of another Ivy League school, and is returning home to tell his father, Ken Akamatsu. ‘Home’ for Jin is the massive scientific complex known as Sanctuary Base. His Father is a scientist on the bleeding edge of technology involving dimensional travel. It was Ken who discovered the remains of a giant robot (the RGA) of the coast of the Bahamas, a discovery that caused the death of Jin’s mother – a fact that Ken has kept hidden for years. Before Jin arrives home, Ken and his colleague, Dr. Washington have just completed an experiment by sending a probe into another dimension. To accomplish this, they use a dimensional gateway Ken developed called The Ring. The probe, however, is followed back to our world! The giant monster known as LEVIATRON arrives on the scene, and Jin soon pilots the RGA in an attempt to stop Leviatron’s city-bashing destruction! And what connection does this Leviatron have with the RGA itself? (hint: a big one!)
